DRAFT — REQUIRES OWNER/LEGAL REVIEW. This text is a working draft prepared for review. It describes how PlanetMesa intends to run its tables, but it is not final policy language.
Community Guidelines
Version 2026-10-03 · How we keep the table a good place to sit down.
PlanetMesa is a game first: a table, the dominoes, and the people you play with. These guidelines apply everywhere on PlanetMesa — at every table, in table talk, on camera and voice, in usernames, display names and profiles, in friend requests and invites, and anywhere else you can reach another player. They apply to guests at a table as well as to accounts.
Play fair, play nice
- No harassment or bullying. Don't target, insult, demean or keep pestering anyone — at the table, by invite, or by friend request. If someone blocks or ignores you, leave it there.
- No threats. Never threaten violence or harm to anyone, or encourage anyone to harm themselves.
- No hate or abuse. Nothing that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar characteristics.
- No sexual content. No sexual talk, images, gestures or exposure, on camera or anywhere else.
- Zero tolerance for exploitation of children. Any sexual content involving a minor, or any attempt to groom or sexually exploit a minor, ends the account and is reported to the authorities where the law requires it. If you think a child may be at risk, report it as A child may be at risk — those reports are looked at first.
- Don't pretend to be someone else. No impersonating other players, public figures, or PlanetMesa staff. Names that look like “PlanetMesa”, “Admin”, “Moderator”, “Support” or “Official” are not allowed.
- No spam or scams. No advertising, links, repeated messages, phishing, or asking people for passwords, money, or personal details.
- Keep names and profiles clean. Usernames, display names and avatars are seen by everyone at the table. They must not be offensive, sexual, hateful, or pretend to be someone else.
- No cheating. Don't use bots or tools to play for you, exploit bugs, team up secretly against the table, or share information the game hides.
- Don't wreck the table. Don't flood table talk, stall on purpose, or keep joining tables just to disrupt them. Hosts can remove players from their own table.
- Respect cameras and voice. Camera and microphone are optional, and they are tied to the table you joined. Never record, screenshot or share another player's camera or voice without their permission. No nudity, no sexual or violent content, nothing shown to shock others.
- No ban evasion. If an account is suspended or banned, don't make another one to get around it.
- Don't abuse reporting. Reports are for real problems. Filing false or retaliatory reports on purpose is itself against these guidelines.
- Follow the law. Don't use PlanetMesa for anything illegal, and never bet real money on a game.
What you can do
- Mute someone's voice for yourself, or turn off their video, from the people list at the table.
- Block someone. You won't see, hear or read each other again at any table, they can't send you friend requests or invites, and they can't see when you're online. They aren't told.
- Report a player, their username, their profile or avatar, how they behaved at a table, or their camera or voice — from the people list at the table, or from their profile. They are never told who reported them.
- Control who can find you, send you friend requests, invite you, and see you online, in Settings → Social & privacy.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
What we do
PlanetMesa moderators read reports and decide what to do based on what happened, how serious it was, and whether it has happened before. Depending on that, we may:
- take no action, if nothing broke the guidelines;
- send a warning the player sees the next time they come in;
- reset a username, display name or avatar;
- pause social features (friend requests, invites and table talk) for a time;
- suspend an account for a time, or ban it;
- report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it.
Every moderation action is recorded. If you think we got something wrong, contact us — see Help & safety.
Changes
When these guidelines change in a way that matters, the version above changes and you will be asked to agree again before using friends, invites or table talk. Playing never waits on it.
